calculated field in Access

Create a calculated field in a table via Table Design
You create a table by using Table Design and want to create a calculated field in this table. You can do it by following the steps below:
- Open the table in Design View
- Typed the name for the calculated field
- Click Calculated in the Data Type combo box
An Expression Builder dialog box appears
- Type what you want to calculate in the text box, for example, you want to calculate SubTotal by multiplying Quantity with UnitPrice
- Click OK
- On the General tab of the Field Properties, click drop down arrow to select the data type for the calculated field
Note: The equal sign(=) precede the calculation not necessary. Type what you want to calculate without this sign.
