VBA current date or today

In VBA, you can get the current date of your computer system by using Date function.

Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
     Dim curdate As Variant
     curdate = Date
     Cells(1, 1) = "Today is " & curdate
    
End Sub

You also can use Now function to return current date and time.

Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
     Dim curdate As Variant
     curdate = Now
     Cells(1, 1) = "Current date and time is " & curdate
     Cells(1, 1).Font.Color = RGB(10, 0, 255)
          
End Sub
