VB string to double

If you wan to convert from a string that represents a double number to a double value that can used used in calculations, use Parse(string) method of the Double type.

   Sub Main()
     Dim dValue, dValue1 As Double
     Dim sValue As String
     sValue = "189.9887"
     dValue = Double.Parse(sValue)
     dValue1 = dValue * 10
     Console.WriteLine("dValue*10={0}", dValue1)
