VB string to date

In VB, to convert a string that represents a date value to a date value, you can use Parse(stringdate) method of the DateTime type.

Module Module1
   Sub Main()
     Dim dString As String
     dString = "09/03/2012"
     Dim mydate = DateTime.Parse(dString)
     Console.WriteLine("Day:{0}", mydate.Day)
     Console.WriteLine("Month:{0}", mydate.Month)
     Console.WriteLine("Year:{0}", mydate.Year)
     Console.ReadLine()
   End Sub
End Module
