VB direcory exists

In VB, to determine whether a specific directory exists, you will use Exists() method of the Directory property of FileInfo class. This method returns true if the directory exists, otherwise it returns false. See example below:

Imports System.IO
Module Module1
   Sub Main()
     Dim f As FileInfo = New FileInfo("D:\\mydir\\") 'indicating whether directory D:\mydir exist
     If f.Directory.Exists Then
        Console.WriteLine("The directory exists.")
        Console.WriteLine("The directory does not exist.")
     End If

   End Sub
End Module
