VB create directory

A directory can be created by using the Create() method of the Directory property of FileInfo class. You have to import System.IO library to use the FileInfo class.

Imports System.IO 'import System.IO library
Module Module1
   Sub Main()
     Dim f As FileInfo = New FileInfo("D:\\mydir\\")
     If f.Directory.Exists Then 'check for directory exist
        Console.WriteLine("The directory already exists.")
     Else 'create directory
        f.Directory.Create()
        Console.WriteLine("The directory created!")
     End If

     Console.ReadLine()
   End Sub
End Module
