Reduce MS Access 2010 database size

When your  database contains a lot of data, the database is big. The large size of the database can affect to the speed of loading the database. The database will load slower and slower when the database gains the size. However, you can reduce database size by following the instruction below:

- Open the database file
- Click File menu item-> Help--> Options
The Access Options dialog box shows:
- Click Current Database
- Check Compact on Close
- Click Ok
- Close the current database and reopen it to take effect that the Option specified.

*Reduce MS Access 2007 database size

In Access 2007, to reduce the size of the database, it is almost the same of reducing size of the  Access 2010 database file. Follow the demonstrative steps:
- Open the database file
- Click Office button
- Access Options button
The Access Options dialog box appears:
- Click Current Database
- Check Compact on Close
- Click Ok
- Close the current database and reopen it to take effect that the Option specified.
