C# delete file

A file can be deleted by using the Delete() method of the FileInfo class. In the example below, we check the file exist before using the Delete() method to delete the file.

using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Text;
using System.IO;

namespace Csharp

   class File

     static void Main(string[] args)

        FileInfo f = new FileInfo("D:\\file1.txt");
        if (f.Exists) //check file exist
           f.Delete(); //delete the file
           Console.WriteLine("The file has been deleted.");

        else Console.WriteLine("The file does not exist.");
