C++ directory list

In C++ to dislay all files and sub-directories in a directory or drive, you can use opendir(char *dir_name) to open the directory that contains the files and sub-directories you want to list and use readir(DIR*) to read content of the directory. You must include the dirent.h header file to use the two functions.

#include<cstdlib>
#include<iostream>
#include<dirent.h>
#include<windows.h>
using namespace std;

int main(){
   DIR *di=opendir("D:\\test"); //open the directory
   struct dirent *list;
   if(!di) { //checking whether the directory is opened successfully
        cout<<"The directory can not be opened.";
        Sleep(5000);
        return 1;
        }

   while(list=readdir (di)){ // display all files and sub-directories in the directory

               cout<<list->d_name<<endl;
                       }
   closedir(di);

system("PAUSE");
return 0;
}
