IX. Set reset tab color sheet

In Microsoft Office Excel 2007, you can decorate your sheet tab to look more friendly by setting a variety of colors as you satisfy. And when you are not satisfied the color you set on sheet tab any longer, you can remove this color. To set and reset the tab color sheet, follow the procedure below.

IX.1. Set tab color sheet

In selecting, deleting and hiding worksheet, you have two ways to do these tasks, and for setting tab color sheet you also have two ways: setting tab color on a sheet and more than one sheets.

+ Set tab color on a sheet

- Right-click any sheet you want to set tab color.

- Point to Tab Color, a table of color displays, and then you can choose the color that you like.

- click any sheet you want to set tab color.

- In the Home tab, in the Cells group, click drop-down arrow in front of Format, point to Tab Color under Organize Sheets.

- Choose the color that you like.

If you don't like the Theme Colors and Standard Colors, click More Colors. Excel 2007 displays the Colors dialog box as the figure:

In this dialog box, you can choose standard colors and customer colors that are different from the color table.

- If you like any standard color, click Standard tab, then click the color you like, and then click Ok.

- If you like any custom color, click Custom tab, then click the color you like, and then click Ok.

+ Set tab color on more than one sheets

To set tab color on more than one sheets, firstly, you need to select the sheets you want to set tab color, and then follow the same steps you set tab color on a sheet. Note that the color sheet tab you set are the same.

IX.2. Reset tab color sheet

You also have a couple of ways to reset tab color: resetting tab color on a sheet and more than one sheets.

+ Reset tab color on a sheet

- Right-click any sheet you want to remove color from.

- Point to Tab Color, click No Color.

- Click the sheet you want to reset color.

- In the Home tab, in the Cells group, click drop-down arrow in front of Format, point to Tab Color under Organize Sheets.

- Click No Color

+ Reset tab color on more than one sheets

You follow the same steps you reset tab color on a sheet. If the setting tab color sheets still selected, when you reset the tab color, all setting tab color sheets will be no color.

In case, you want to remove color from a sheet tab that is in a group of the setting tab color sheets, you can follow the procedure below:

Suppose in your workbook there are four sheets: Sheet1 to Sheet4. You had set tab color to two sheets (Sheet1 and Sheet2); and you want to remove a color only from Sheet1 tab. To do this task, you primarily need to unselect Sheet1 and Sheet2 tab by clicking the next sheet it can be Sheet3 or Sheet4. Then right-click Sheet1, point to Tab Color, and then click No Color.
