VIII. Hide unhide worksheet

Sometimes you want to prevent a worksheet or some worksheets from being seen by other people; so, you can hide the worksheet(s); and when you want to see the worksheet(s), you can display it. Excel 2007 has ability to do these tasks. To hide and unhide the worksheet(s), read the following procedure:

VIII.1. Hide worksheet

In hiding worksheet, you have to a couple of ways: hiding a worksheet and more than one worksheets.

+ Hiding a worksheet

To hide a worksheet, follow the procedure below:

- Right-click any sheet you want to hide.

- Click Hide

- Click the sheet you want to hide.

- In the Home tab, in the Cells group, click drop-down arrow in front of Format, point to Hide & Unhide under Visibility.

- Click Hide Sheet.

Excel 2007 hides the worksheet immediately.

+ Hiding more than one worksheets

When you want to hide some sheets, you can hide one by one sheet. But, it's waste the time. So, you can hide worksheets at once. To hide worksheets are almost the same to hide a worksheet. The difference is that to hide a sheet you just right-click any sheet you intend to hide and then click Hide, to hide sheets you primarily need to select some sheets you want hide, then click any selected sheet, and lastly click Hide or select sheets and then follow the second way of hiding a worksheet.

VIII.2. Unhide worksheet

You have two ways to hide worksheet(s) and to unhide worksheet(s) you also have a couple of ways. To unhide a worksheet and some worksheets, follow the procedure below:

- Right-click any sheet

- Click Unhide

- In the Home tab, in the Cells group, click drop-down arrow in front of Format, point to Hide & Unhide under Visibility.

- Click Unhide Sheet.

Excel 2007 displays Unhide dialog box as the figure:

- Click Ok

Excel 2007 displays the hidden sheet immediately, .

In case, you unhide some sheets when you click Unhide the Unhide dialog box appears with a group of hidden sheets. For example, you have hidden two sheets (Sheet1 and Sheet2) and you want to display these two sheets. When you right-click any sheet, then click Unhide, the Unhide dialog box appears as the figure:

- Click Sheet1 or Sheet2

- Click Ok

You can unhide worksheets one by one in a time; you cannot do both.
