You can change the row height to fit the contents in a cell, and set a row to a specific height by using tools of Format in the Cells group. You can also use the mouse to resize the height of row. The value of the row height that you specify representing the height measurement in points.

XXII.1. Set a specific row height

You can set a specific height to row or rows by doing the following:

- Select the row or rows that you want to resize.

- On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click drop-down arrow next to Format, under Cell Size, click Row Height.

- Type the value of the row height that you want in the box.

- Click Ok

- Select the row or rows that you want to change.

- On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click drop-down arrow next to Format, under Cell Size, click AutoFit Row Height.

XXII.3. Change the row height by using the mouse

 You can change the row height by using the mouse; it may be faster than you use the tools of Format in the Cells group.

+ Change the row height of one row

- Place the mouse on the row heading, and then drag the boundary under the row heading till the row is the height that you want.

+ Change the row height of multiple rows

- Select the rows that you want to change, place the mouse on any selected row heading, and then drag the boundary under it.

+ Change the row height to fit the contents

- Select the row or rows that you want to resize, place the mouse on the selected row heading, and then double-click the boundary under that selected row heading.

+ Change the row height for all rows on a worksheet

- Click Select All button, and then drag the boundary under any row heading.
