XVI. Data Definition Query

A data definition query is a type of query that does not work with data, but it works with the database objects. The data definition query uses Data Definition Language(DDL: A part of Structured Query Language(SQL)) to create, modify, and delete database objects. If you are familiar with SQL statements, consider using the data definition query. It is easy to create a table or an index, modify an existing table or column, delete an existing table, column, or constraint, add a column and a constraint to a table. To create data definition query follow the steps below:

- Click Create tab

- Click Query Design, in Queries group, on the Design tab

- Close Show Table Dialog box

- Click Data Definition, in the Query Type group, on the Design tab
